Any changes made to a booking will be calculated by using the higher one of the two rates, either the original Flex Rate or the Flex Rate current at the time of the booking alteration.
The following are classified as booking alterations:
• Change of vehicle type
• Change of pick-up location
• Change in drop-off location
• Change in the pick-up date, excluding booking extension
• Change in the drop-off date, excluding booking extension
In the event the hirer wishes to make changes to the following: vehicle booked, pick up or drop off dates, pick up or drop off locations the following charges will apply:
• If amended 15+ nights prior to pick up: $100 plus any increase in vehicle charges.
• If amended 14 nights or fewer prior to pick up or No show: 100% of cancellation fees and new booking charges will apply.

Change to drop-off location after pick-up
If Guest changes their drop-off location after pick-up, they should get in touch with our friendly reservations team who will be happy to help. Our team will advise the Guests if the change is possible and if a relocation fee applies. Any fees would be charged directly to the Guest on a retail rate.

Extending a Road Trip
If a Guest gets swept up in the adventure of their road trip and wishes to extend their booking whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorization from CanaDream Reservations who will advise of the additional costs. Rental extension is subject to fleet availability. The extra cost (Retail rate) of an extended booking must be paid by credit card over the telephone or at a CanaDream location immediately on confirmation of the booking extension.
If the Guest decides to extend their booking duration before pick-up (changing the drop-off date) the Booking Amendment policy applies.

Change of RV
We understand Guests needs are different and therefore our RV’s can be requested by category, however not by make or model. We always do our best to accommodate requests, however should the booked RV not be available due to unforeseen circumstances we will substitute the booked RV with an alternative available at the time of pick up, at no extra cost. Any changes to the booked RV and agreed to by or requested by the Guest do not entitle the Guest to a refund.

RV Demonstration
During the On line Check-In process the customers watch a video of vehicle demonstration, safe driving, and CanaDream Club welcome video. A personal demonstration can be booked during Online Check-in for a fee of $50 if the Guest requires one to one tuition. On Pick-up, a member of our Guest Services team will be on hand to help and answer any questions they may have on the exterior and interior of their RV unit. Guests are also asked to complete a short pre-departure survey. Guests will also complete a drop-off survey upon return.

Online Check-In
All Guests must complete online check-in at www.canadream.com/online-check-in/ prior to arrival at CanaDream. Check in opens 5 days before pick-up. check- in time will be selected by the Guest during online check-in. The earlier you complete online check-in the wider the choice of arrival slots.
We also recommend to provide us your email at the time of booking, so that you can receive an automated Online Check-in email 5 days before pick-up. NOTE: CanaDream will not communicate with the Guest on any other matter other than Online Check-in invites.
Online Check-in is a simple 10 step process and takes up to 1 hour to complete. Guests will be asked for their driver’s information, emergency contact details, read and accept the Rental Agreement, Insurance Coverage and other Important information. They will watch the vehicle demo video so they do not need to watch this on the day of pick up and they will select their arrival time at the station and be able to select any additional travel extras they may want. They will pay for their security deposit and any extras, so there is nothing to process on the day.
Once Online Check in is completed, they will receive a copy of their accepted documentation by email and will be able to access links to the demo video if they would like to watch this again.
- If Guests have booked a Run of Fleet unit, their vehicle allocation will be shown to them at this time, while there is a slight chance this may need to change, it would be uncommon.
- If Guests are part of a group, the first person in the group can allocate the entire groups pick up time. Though this can also be changed be the individual.
Guests will also choose drop off time. Standard Drop-off times are between 8am and 10am and are free of charge. Late Drop off times are available between 10am and 3pm for a fee of $75 per hour (details below).

RV Pick Up

Early pick-ups are available on a first come first serve basis. This service can only be booked during the Online Check-In, it is not bookable at the time of making the booking as there are many operational factors which would determine the unit’s availability for an early morning pick up.
Guests who arrive at the station without having checked in online, will be required to perform online check-in at the station on a tablet device.
• On arrival at their station, Guests will verify their identity/booking and be taken to their RV to complete the quick start tour and perform the damage inspection.

Urban restrictions
Parking of your vehicle is prohibited in the greater metropolitan areas of Montreal and Ottawa. This includes all pay parking lots, hotel parking lots, side streets, etc. There are designated RV parking lots available close to public transit where you are permitted to leave your RV while exploring the city of Ottawa. https://ottawa.ca/en/parking-roads-and- travel/parking/motorhome-and-tour-bus-parking

Festival Surcharges
CanaDream is happy for Guests to attend festivals in Canada and the USA from any of our locations with pre-authorized permission to travel with the exception of:
• Burning Man Festival in Nevada - CanaDream Inc. does not permit any RV to be taken to the Burning Man festival. Guests who take a CanaDream unit to this festival will automatically have their insurance voided, making them responsible for all costs for damage, cleaning, and repairs and in addition will incur a $5,000 fine.
CanaDream reserves the right to alter or change the list of festivals which CanaDream RVs can be taken to at any time. Guests wishing to take a CanaDream RV to a festival must request permission at the time of booking.

Winterization
All Motorhomes must be winterized when travelling in freezing conditions with the exceptions of CanaDream’s unique MHA (2650) RV unit, which is specially built for winter conditions and allows for use of the water, toilet and shower in freezing conditions. As the weather in Canada can be unpredictable, CanaDream will winterize their units as the temperatures start to drop into the freezing zone. Once the RV is winterized, no water can be put into the fresh water tank and it cannot be hooked up to the water supply. Therefore, no water is available in the motorhome.
It is the Guests’ responsibility to have the RV winterized while on a trip at his/her own expense should the weather conditions require. The Guest is also financially responsible for having the RV re- winterised on the return trip if the RV was winterized at the time of pick up. A $150 re-winterization fee will be charged if the RV is returned non-winterized when the temperature is -5 degrees Celsius or below.

Holiday Disruption Coverage
Should the hirer’s motorhome holiday be disrupted by a mechanical breakdown as defined below (which does not extend to accident or damages caused by the renter), for more than 48 working hours after reporting to Hippie Camper, the renter will be reimbursed up to a maximum of the gross daily rental rate for each day affected until the problem is rectified. Failure of mechanical and accessories which includes living cabin air conditioner, water pump, shower/toilet, refrigerator, stove/grill must be assessed by a branch or authorized repairer. Reimbursement is only possible when Hippie Camper has been contacted to rectify the problem and the hirer cooperates to do so. Failure to notify Hippie Camper acknowledges that the issues is of such a minor nature that the hirer makes no claim for loss of time in respect of their rental. Defects and repairs of Wi-Fi, travel devices, radio, TV, CD or DVD player, awning, cruise control, etc. are not considered mechanical breakdowns and are excluded from Holiday Disruption Coverage.
The following conditions results in the compromised performance of accessories and as such Hippie Camper will not be held liable for financial compensation:

So not to disturb the road trip any further, if the damage was not caused by the Guest, repairs up to $150 can be completed without authorisation and will be reimbursed on presentation of the receipts at time of drop off. If repairs over $150 are needed, the CanaDream On-road team needs to be informed prior to the repair being completed.
All RV’s are covered for 24/7 Mechanical emergency roadside assistance.

Infringements, Tolls and Fees
CanaDream will pass on any charges the guest receives for traffic infringements, toll way or parking fines during their road trip. If the Guest pays these fines immediately there will be no additional administration fees. However, if the Guest delays in paying the fines we reserve the right to charge an administration fee.

Animals
Service animals are permitted to travel in our RVs with prior permission from Apollo but pets are not permitted. A penalty of $500 will be imposed for pets inside the RV to cover the costs of sanitizing and cleaning.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in our RVs. A penalty of $1000 will be imposed for smoking inside the RV to cover the costs of sanitizing and cleaning.

Responsibility
If, for any reason beyond the company's control, the reserved vehicle is not available, rental company reserves the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent value or offer a higher rated vehicle at no additional cost. Should a lower rated vehicle be substituted, the company's only responsibility is to refund the difference between the two vehicles. Although this is infrequent, accidents or mechanical repairs may force substitutions.

Fuel
Rental company makes no representation as to fuel consumption. Vehicles are supplied with a minimum ¼ tank. If the guest returns with less fuel than on departure, he/she will be charged for that amount of fuel at CanaDream’s refuelling rate. There is no refund if client returns with more fuel than on departure.
During the Winter Season fuel tanks may be provided full and should then be returned full.

Child Restraint
- The 3 in 1 seat will be given to the Guest, but they will need to convert the seat into the size required for the child. The seat can be used as an infant seat, a child seat, and a booster chair. Note- it does not convert into a booster cushion, but the booster seat with the full back- this may not suit some older children- if this does not suit the child, we are happy to refund the child seat rental charge.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the installation of the child seats. CanaDream Crew members can provide guidance but cannot physically help install the seats.
- Booster seats without a back rest are not recommended for use in RV's as they can only be secured by the lap belt. It is often safer for larger children to simply use the lap belt as a restraint.
- Availability of child seats are not guaranteed, and we highly recommend booking them at the same time as RV bookings.
The TCA is the only unit with a 3-point seatbelt for securing the child seat and is compatible with the Isoflex Anchor Points.
SVC, MHB, MHA, MHX units are equipped with at least 1 fixed tether point which a child seat can be attached to.
All infant/child seat/booster seats are secured by lap belts.
Infant Seat (rear facing): Age - 0-1 / Weight - up to 20 lbs / 9 kg
Child Seat: Age - 1-7 / Weight - up to 40 lbs / 18 kg
Booster Seat: Age - 7 / Height - up to 145 cm

Insurance

All CanaDream vehicles are insured with $5-million public liability and property damage.
A security deposit of up to $3,000 is required on a major credit card for the collision and comprehensive insurance deductibles as outlined below. The deposit is refundable upon the return of the vehicle in the same condition as it was received and if it was not involved in any incident claims. Any Guest that is involved in an incident will have their deposit held (to the maximum charge listed below), for a minimum of 60 days or until the incident claim is closed. Claims that are less than the deposit amount will have the difference refunded to the Guest upon the closing of the incident claim. The Guest is responsible for the maximum charge detailed below where expenses include, but are not limited to, towing, storage fees, damage to the CanaDream Inc. vehicle, damage to third party property, injury claims, insurance adjuster fees, loss of use, and legal fees.
This policy does not cover liability for loss of personal property, nor does it cover costs for accommodation, transportation, or replacement of the vehicle if the vehicle is stolen or should an incident occur that makes the rented vehicle inoperable. In these situations, and depending on availability, a new signed rental agreement must be in place before a replacement vehicle is provided. The Guest is also responsible for loss of use; this will be charged for the period the RV is unavailable due to repairs. Incidents must be reported within 24 hours and be accompanied by either the online accident report or written accident report and police report or file number.
Standard Liability (payment of $3,000 security deposit) would cover a rental (not per incident) so a 2nd security deposit wouldn’t be asked for unless:
1. The Guest had an incident not covered by the insurance policy.
2. The Guest had an incident that required a replacement unit and new contract (incident was covered damage but was their fault).
3. The Guest had an incident where there was a 3rd party involvement with evidence of high value damage.
For rentals until 31 March 2025, the security deposit will be $1,750 per incident - not per rental.

Liability Reduction Options
CanaDream offers options that reduce the Guest’s financial responsibility for covered physical damage to the Rental Vehicle. Liability Reduction and Liability Reduction Zero are not insurance, but are contractual agreements between CanaDream and the Guest, wherein CanaDream agrees to seek reduced or no recovery for covered physical damage to the Rental Vehicle, subject to exclusions. Liability Reduction fees are charged per night, for a minimum charge of 5 nights, up to a maximum of 30 nights. Fees are noted below:
• Liability Reduction (LR)* - selecting this product reduces the Guest liability to $1,000.
$30 per night - minimum 7 nights, Maximum 30 nights.
• Liability Reduction Zero (LRZ)* - selecting this product reduces the Guest liability to $0.
$45 per night - minimum 7 nights, Maximum 30 nights.
Applies for the rental duration for covered physical damage. The incident must be reported to within 24 hours otherwise the cover will not be applicable.
Liability Reduction and Liability Reduction Zero will also cover the rental (not per incident) for covered damages, so the standard liability security deposit won’t be asked to be charged unless:
1. The Guest had an incident not covered by the insurance policy.
2. The Guest had an incident that required a replacement unit and new contract.
Please note: Liability Reduction/Zero will not cover any damage listed as “All Costs” from the Incident  description such as but not limited to the Rental Vehicle or third-party property caused through reversing, any damage deemed as malicious i.e. Rental Vehicle break in or vandalism, cover the replacement or repair of windows or cover the theft of the Vehicle. No cover is offered for overhead damage, undercarriage damage, any damage deemed as gross negligence or any internal damages therefore full liability will apply. Maximum charge for Liability Reduction/Plus is 30 nights.

The guest is responsible for the following maximum charges per incident:

  • Two-vehicle accident on a signed and numbered road, fire, theft or vandalism (with police and accident report): $3,000 *
  • Windshield - replacement glass, fitting and recalibration: $1000
  • Off Road, including campsites, parking lots, driveways etc.: $3,000 *
