Driven by a Toyota Fielder (2007 model), you can enjoy a roomy vehicle and economical accommodation. The tent will allow 2 adults to sleep comfortably on a 80mm high density foam mattress with replaceable cover. Lab testing of the tents 'Water Column' resulted in a rating in excess of 10000mm. This is in line with the materials used in the making of the tent.
This model is available for hire from 1st October until 30th April each season. The standard equipment includes a gas cooker, table, chairs, 2 sleeping bags, 2 pillows, sheets, towels, tea towels and a picnic set for two. Add another camping kit ($150 per hire) to this vehicle and we will provide a ground tent, enough sleeping bags and other gear for everyone.
The stationwagon + roof tent offers an economical means of transport and accommodation for up to 5 adults. It is well suited for camping on Department of Conservation (DOC) campsites which are reasonably priced. You can get discounted passes here. Most DOC campgrounds offer toilets and are usually situated in very scenic locations. You could add a few nights at a commercial campground or Bed and Breakfast to break up the camping experience a little. B&B accommodation can easily be booked at BNB. This option offers a high class, hands on experience at low cost.
