The various insurance coverage's may be subject to an excess/minimum of 10% of the commercial value of the vehicle in case of theft and to an excess/minimum of € 1500 in case of damages to the vehicle for each single damage incident/accident (excluding damages to the inside of the vehicle for which there is no excess or minimum and for which the customer is entirely responsible).

Can we travel one way to other destination or do we have to travel round trip?

Is it possible to travel in the winter in the colder areas?


Yes, however you should bear in mind the new law clearly states that under icy and snow conditions you must not drive without winter tyres. Since it is difficult to predict the weather it is advisable to have winter tyres between Octobers to April.

As well, if you go skiing or camp in a low temperature area, it is strongly recommended not to turn off the motorhome heater, otherwise the water in your rental dormobile can be freeze and damage the water system.

Many Italian motorhomes are equipped with an automatic drain valve to ensure that no damage will happened to the motorhome water system. This valve is automatically open and drains all the motorhome water when the water temperature is low as 4 C.

Are there any places we cannot take the motorhome?

Yes. Coverage's are invalid if problems occur in the following areas and all recovery expenses are at the renter’s own cost. Violations of these restrictions void damage waivers and the renter will be held liable for all vehicle damages including to tires, towing charges and other related expenses as a result of a breakdown associated with operating in these areas. How much does it cost to stay in campgrounds?

Cleaning

Camper vans are handed over to you in a clean and tidy condition on the inside as well as on the outside, and shall also be returned by you in a clean and tidy state. External cleaning is included in the price. If, following return of the vehicle, inside cleaning, emptying of the sewage water tank and / or emptying of the toilet cassette have to be carried out by the lessor in part or in full, the lessor shall charge a cleaning fee. Many of these stop over sites are equipped with motorhome facilities like sanitary stations or hookups. Some charge a fee, some others don't.

How am I to behave in case of an accident or in the event of damage?

Upon handover of the motorhome to you, you will receive a damage report form which you are obliged to complete in any event of accident. In case of fire, theft, damage caused by game animals or other damage, police and the renting station must be notified. The renting station must also be notified of any details concerning the circumstances of the accident.

Claims for damages of other parties involved in the accident must not be acknowledged.
